Enter any payday — we’ll map the whole year from there.
Note: This calendar is generated mathematically from your inputs. Actual paydates may vary due to holidays, bank processing, or your employer’s specific schedule. Semi-monthly schedules (1st/15th, 15th/last-day, etc.) have 24 pay periods per year and do not produce 3-paycheck months.

What Are 3-Paycheck Months?

If you’re paid biweekly, you get 26 paychecks per year. Since most months have ~4.3 weeks, two months each year will have three paychecks instead of two. These “bonus” months are perfect for:

  • Building your emergency fund
  • Paying off debt faster
  • Starting to invest
  • Large purchases without using credit

Is 2026 a 27-Paycheck Year?

For most biweekly workers, 2026 is a standard 26-paycheck year. A 27th paycheck only happens when an extra payday squeezes into the calendar year — usually once every 11 years for a given start date. The calculator will tell you if your specific schedule produces a 27th check.

When a 27-paycheck year does occur, it can slightly increase your tax withholding but also means more money in your pocket. Use our paycheck calculator to see what each check is worth.
